The local number you receive from Gracias VRS can be “ported” to another VRS provider. In addition, you can “port” a local number from another VRS provider to Gracias VRS. Porting numbers means that the default provider for that telephone number will change and the new VRS provider will be responsible for VRS calls to and from that telephone number, including emergency calls. When you are considering porting a number to Gracias VRS, please contact our customer service department and we will assist you.
DISCLAIMER
In the event of an emergency requiring you to place a 9-1-1 call through GlobalVRS, your call will be moved to the highest priority to be answered. Our CA will ask you for your current location to share with 9-1-1 Operators. If you are registered with GlobalVRS, we will also provide 9-1-1 dispatchers with the address information listed on your Personal Online Profile and other critical information to the appropriate 9-1-1 dispatcher in the event you cannot provide your current calling location. Should you get disconnected, the CA will make every attempt to call you back to continue the call. You may update your address within your Personal Online Profile at https://secure.globalvrs.com/v2/en/login/ any time. You may also use a telephone/cellphone to dial 9-1-1 that will automatically pinpoint your exact physical location and connect you to the appropriate dispatch center automatically, if you prefer.
